MegaWord is a Wordle-style game for the Sega Mega Drive 

Five letters. Six guesses. Green, yellow, grey tiles. All running on 16-bit hardware from the late 80s.

It ships with a 3,000+ word list, timed challenge modes, sound effects, animations and pixel-art backgrounds — and runs on original Sega Mega Drive / Genesis hardware as well as via emulation.

HOW TO PLAY

Guess the five-letter word in six tries.

Each guess must be a valid word. After each guess:

🟩 Green — right letter, right place

🟨 Yellow — right letter, wrong place

⬜ Grey — letter not in the word

MegaWord is a homebrew passion project built by Tim Potter,  a designer who grew up with the Mega Drive and an avid daily Wordle player

Built using SGDK, with pixel-art backgrounds, a custom colour pipeline and Codex.
